Fuck Everything - ARRRR!

There might be some slight spoilers, sorry. :c

I just saw it a few days ago and it was...good! All of the actors did a marvelous job, the storyline was amusing, and the ambiguous ending was delightfully bittersweet.  I went into the movie with some doubts about its performance (it struck me as pretentious), but I'm glad I saw it. I'll be sure to add it to my DVD collection once it comes out.

Now for what bothered me.

I'm not sure why people find the plot to be so ~mind blowing~. The only thing that's difficult to explain is the science behind the levels and purgatory, which is just my friend and me digging too deep into the movie. After the first twenty or so minutes, almost everything is explained about how the dream world works and is constructed. The only thing that's left on the table is Cobb's conflict with his wife and how the team will successfully complete their job.

Like my friend put it, Inception seems like the next Matrix. I can see it still being enjoyable in a few years with a fanbase that's willing to stick behind it, but it can easily get worn out from the abundance of hype (which, in my mind, isn't necessary).

Limner just showed me 'A Very Potter Musical' a few days ago and now the sequel is out and oh my godjfdskfds
If you haven't seen anything yet, I suggest watching the first musical so you'll get some of the jokes in the sequel. It isn't that big of a deal if you don't, though. :D

This, along the movie that's coming out, really makes me want to reread the series. It won't be the same from when I was in my ~Potter Phase~, but I figure I'll still find them enjoyable. I'm not sure how good the seventh movie is going to be, though. I didn't really like the sixth one; I just found it kind of...boring. Maybe that's just me. :x

Heracross - Oh boy

Stretching my ears, derp derp

I'm going to stretch my ears to a 16g in a week or so, and my goal is a 12 or 10g. My friend is going to supply me with some of the tapers, because she kept everything (except for her 14g, which she lost). I'm not really nervous about the pain, because I'm not going to skip sizes or rush the process.

At the moment, I'm in love with the organic spirals and hanging styles. Too bad they cost a lot. ; _;
I have my eye on these~
Oval Bone Spiral
Tight Spiral
Swan Void
Quetzalcoatl Horn (I know, 8g, but ffffffff- Quetzalcoatl!)
Amboyna Plugs
Holly Plugs
B&W Ebony Plugs

Also, I went to Plato's Closet today and got three tops and a necklace for under twenty bucks. Fucking amazing. :D

Writer's Block: No place like home

What are five things you love about where you live and five things that you hate? How does it compare to previous places you've lived?

1) The cost of living isn't too high.
2) It doesn't feel crowded because of the small(-ish) population.
3) People are pretty nice. :D
4) Gays and lesbians can get married.
5) Public schools tend to be better than private ones.

1) The humidity is killer.
2) Winters can get really bad; it tends to get really cold and snow a lot. D:
3) Malls, along with other stores, usually close early.
4) It's a landlocked state with no mountains.
5) Pig farms smell horrid.

Iowa isn't a horrible place to live; however, I wouldn't mind moving. The thought of moving to Portland, Oregon has crossed my mind. So pretty. ♥
