School's canceled again, so I got to sleep in~
It's pretty amusing, because this is the first snow of winter. Normally Iowa gets one or two inches tops the first time, not fourteen. I'm not complaining, though, even if I'm not a huge fan of winter. At least the snow still looks pretty, and hasn't turned into that brown, slushy shit caused by cars.

SCHOOL ENDED EARLY DUE TO SNOW
There's a high chance that there isn't going to be school tomorrow, because Iowa is supposed to get a lot of snow and high winds. I really hope that's the case, because I need an excuse to be lazy and sleep in. c:

I signed up to be a science tutor for school, and was just assigned a student this week. She was having trouble with chemistry; however, she seemed to be picking stuff up really quickly. I was still nervous, because she had a test this Friday. I really, really, really wanted her to do well on it.
She just texted me, and said that she got an A on it. I have no idea why I'm so excited and happy and proud and sjdksd. This seriously made my Friday so much better. :'D |

I went to a poetry slam this evening, and it was pretty enjoyable. A good handful of people from my school were there, because one of the English teachers offered extra credit. I was there because of creative writing club.
One of my friends actually won third place and got a book, V, as the prize. The first place winner, some guy with an amazing as fuck voice, got a copy of H.P. Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu. If books are always the prize, I might give it a shot next time. |
